Multicultural Wedding

Went to a wedding yesterday where the bride grew up in France and considers herself French even though her mother is English and her father is Belgian. She was marrying a native Moroccan Muslim.

The result was a wedding reception that seemed to represent the United Nations. French, Americans, British, Belgians, Moroccans, etc..

The reception, at the bride's mother's house, was cool. The groom's father bought two whole lambs and 24 chickens for the wedding feast.

At one point they turned on a smoke machine and had people dancing around wearing Belgian, French, English and Moroccan flags.

They had an interesting mix of music on as well, so you'd be hearing "Daddy, Daddy Cool" and then the next song would be a Moroccan folk song.

The bride looked beautiful - which goes without saying.

All in all not a bad way to spend a Saturday.
