When writing web copy and ad copy, one thing you want to do is vary your language a bit. Unless you are doing keyword density stuff, using synonyms instead of repeating the same word over and over again is the way to go.

But... if you were to, hypothetically, create 15 web pages for a company that provides social media management to professional athletes you'll quickly discover that "athlete" is one of the few words in the English language that pretty much has no synonyms that make any sense for ad copy. I mean, does anyone ever really say "sportsperson?"

Deep Thoughts

You know, banks and credit card companies base a lot of their executives' year end bonuses on how much money people spend on Black Friday - because it's a predictor of how Christmas sales are going to go.

So, if you are an Occupy Wall Street Supporter and really want to fuck the bankers and make a difference, you might want to do all your Christmas shopping on Dec. 24.

You'll fuck up their lives much, much more than any other form of protest - and you'll save money, because stores will be desperate by that point.
