Fairness?

So, this week Newsweek did a cover story on Michele Bachmann and used this photo:

Photobucket

A lot of people are saying that this is a blatantly unfair trick to try to make her look insane. And it's not just Fox saying that - John Stewart did a segment last night saying that he thinks it shows Tina Brown has a huge amount of liberal bias.

Brown responded that the picture is meant to show how Bachmann has mesmerized Iowa voters. Other people have said that the picture pretty much matches the crazy talk Bachmann uses in the interview that goes with the story.

What do you think?

Depressing And Amusing

Hat tip to andrewducker for this one.

If you click on this link it will tell you what products are currently trending upward in the "Sports and Leisure" section of Amazon UK.

It updates every 15 minutes so you can watch the trends.

At the moment sales of German telescoping batons are up 35,000 percent over yesterday.

Sales of aluminum baseball bats - in a country that for the most part doesn't play baseball - are up 15,000 percent.

Meanwhile, sales of an object that looks at first like a pen but is actually a razor sharp dagger are up more than 5,000 percent.

What's really strange is that something called "Gelert Folding Shovel" is up a whopping 205,000 percent - which I guess means the looters are burying the cops at this point.
