Palin Facebook Weirdness

This is an incredible blog entry.

A blogger decided to see what the reaction to the Saturday shooting would be on Sarah Palin's Facebook page.

What she found out is that Palin had someone working to make sure that any negative comment about her related to the shooting was deleted in two minutes or less (she documents this with screen shots.)

But this comment was left up:

"It's ok. Christina Taylor Green was probably going to end up a left wing bleeding heart liberal anyway. Hey, as 'they' say, what would you do if you had the chance to kill Hitler as a kid? Exactly."

At first she tries to give the editor the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he or she just missed it.

But, then other people started pointing out that this comment was left up and those comments were instantly deleted, but the Christina Taylor Green comment was left up.

Very, very weird.

I doubt you can blame Palin, since I'm sure she wasn't deleting things herself, but it sure casts some questions on who works for her.

Question From Rome Girl?

Internet dilettante question of the day: is there a way to check page views of a
blog post or news article that's NOT yours, if they don't have a visible counter
for that post? Can you please post this on your LJ and see if any of your readers know?

Rome Girl.

Asshole Sex

Denise Richards just broke up with Nikki Sixx. Before that she was married to Charlie Sheen.

One can only assume that her "type" is dudes with giant red flags attached to every part of their body.

So, since she clearly only likes dudes who are bad ideas, who would you set her up with for rebound sex?

Kindle = Exercise

I was walking back from my shrink today when my phone rang.

It was the UPS dude - Rome Girl's Kindle had arrived.

But, I was about a 10 minute or more walk away from home and the dude said he could only wait at the apartment for no more than five minutes.

I asked what would happen then. He said they don't make second deliveries so Rome Girl (who is in Rome) would have to show up at the UPS depot outside of town with photo identification and pick it up.

Since I don't have access to either Rome Girl or a car to get outside of town, that was a no go.

So, I literally had to run home to get there before the guy took off. That's not easy in regular shoes moving through a city where people walk slowly and the roads are not particularly straight - particularly at the time of day when trucks are making their deliveries to shops.

I made it, but damn it was close.

It's the first time I've ever been annoyed at something arriving early. (Amazon said it would get here on the 14th, so I'd made sure I'd be home all day that day.)
