In the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, The UK, Italy and Russia you can purchase Chinese Democracy on Sunday.

Due to union regulations you can't buy it until Monday in France.

The thing is that normally this would not bother me, because I'm sure I'll be able to download it on Sunday.

But, after waiting well over a decade I want to hold a CD box in my hand that reads "Chinese Democracy." I want to read the liner notes. I want to look at the image on the cover and bore Rome Girl with comments about "what do you think it all means?"

What I mean is, I want an album - I don't simply want to hear music.

And it's been a long time since I felt that way.

Part of me feels like I could download the album Sunday and then buy the album Monday, but that would feel like cheating. I mean, I wouldn't have wanted to read sections of the last Harry Potter in Rolling Stone weeks before the book came out. It would have spoiled something about the experience of opening up the book and reading it pure.

So, I'm fucking torn.
