Catching Up On Television

I started to get caught up on TV after letting Tigar Woods Golf distract me for a week or so.

My overall thoughts:

1. The Shield. At some point Macky has to realize that 80 percent of his schemes are doomed to failure and anytime Shane is involved in the schemes the odds go up to 100 percent. Also, I am now officially tired of any plot line that involves Dutch. If they were to kill off both Shane and Dutch, the show would flow more smoothly. I do love the whole artificial Armenian/Mexican drug war Macky's created - even if it's going to blow up in his face.

2. True Blood. Interesting so far. Not great. I wish it had a little more Buffy type silliness. Also, I'm all for sex scenes, but in this show I sorta feel like they use them as filler to stretch out the episodes. Still, it has potential and I want to see where it's going. The scene in the vampire bar was their best idea so far. I do think that it can't decide if it wants to be Buffy or Twin Peaks.

3 Prison Break. The latest episode might as well have been an episode of Alias. That's not a bad thing, it's just not what I expect from Prison Break. The whole thing at the track was almost an Alias homage with the hats, wigs, improbable heist plan that depends entirely on blind luck, etc...

4. Heroes. Peter Pretrelli from the future annoys me. But I like the plot line with Mama Petretlli, Cylar still rocks and the new bad guys are cool.

I'd Pay For This Kind Of Treatment

A Florida teenager claims he was attacked and robbed by four topless blonde women on his way to work.

Olmer Morales, 18, told police the attack happened as he rode his bike to work one morning in Stuart, Martin County.

A heavy-set blonde woman wearing a white long sleeved shirt and overalls stopped him by grabbing his handle bars, according to the police report.

Four thinner blonde-haired women, all wearing overalls with no shirts and no bras, then surrounded him and stole the $100 (£56) in his back pocket, Mr Morales told deputies.

I Do Believe In Fairies! I do! I do! I do!

On the walk to my shrink's place is a Disney movie poster that appears to depict Tinkerbell and Wendy Darling.

Above the illustration is the word "Clochette" and below it is the word "Noa."

This begs the questions: -

1. Are Clochette and Noa what the French call Tinkerbell and Wendy?

2. If so, why is Peter not in this illustration?

3. Could these be two new Disney characters that simply bear a strong resemblance to the two babes who bailed out The Lost Boys?

Deep Thoughts

You know, I bet if we legalized and taxed drugs and escorts, the government would be easily able to pay for the Wall Street bailout rescue.

I'd love to write the ads.

"Meth - White Powder For Less Green."

"Coke Ain't It! Choose Meth!"

"Just Snort It."

"I'm not a stoner - but I play one on TV."

"Weed - Because In A Depression You Need To Live With Your Parents."

"Coke - Great High. Less Filling."

"Smack - It's What You Want To Jack!"

"I'd like to teach the world to toke in perfect harmony. I'd like to buy the world some Thai and keep them company."

"Crack. Cheaper than food."
