Atlas Shrugged

My old mentor and I are in the middle of a somewhat heated discussion.

You should read the post from the link because he is a very eloquent man and makes his point well.

The base of the argument is this:

1. Some corporations are offering universities large amounts of money if they agree to teach Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged.

2. My old mentor sees this as a bribe and therefore awful.

3. I argue that like with Marx or Engels or Thomas Merton, Ms. Rand, while often wrong, is so historically important that anything that encourages universities to teach her is a good thing.

All of which leads me to pet my cat and ask myself "Who is John Gault?"

Vert Anglais Video

Hippy IT Boy shot a short video of The Waves at the Vert Anglais in Montpellier last week.

It's a cell phone shoot, so the quality is not that great, but it will give you a sense of what the bar looks like inside!
