Talented Noir

The Book In Bar (the English languge bookshop in Montpellier) is having a sale where you can get three classic books for 15 euros.

So, yesterday I picked up:

The Glass Key by Dashiell Hammett

The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith

Ripley's Game by Patricia Highsmith

I might go back on Monday to get two of the Frank Baum Wizard of Oz books and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

A Good Day

Rome Girl got me to blow of work yesterday and we walked around in the 64 degree weather looking at the French go nuts for the January sales. We had fresh squeezed lemonade in the afternoon and I started reading my noir book and she started reading the first Ripley book.

It was really nice.

Around 5 or so she had to go home to deal with some freelance stuff, so I hung around with Angel Heart and Mr. Bitch.

When it got to be a little after six I tried to go home buy ran into the lesbians who got me way drunk in the basement of their restaurant.

Then I came home and Rome Girl made really good hamburgers and I played videogames and she read her book and it was super awesome.

There's No Time!

I've mangaged to download Episodes 1,2 and 4 of Season Six of 24 from the various bit torrent sites (Fox released them out in advance of them being on the air tonight as part of some weird underground marketing campaign, so this is not really all that illegal.)

But, none of the torrent sites seem to have working versions of Episode 3.

Anyone know a torrent site that has it?

Thanks!

Bart
