Much Ado About Nothing

I redid the look of my dad's blog today because aparently no one is making comments or reading it or anything. I think it looks cooler now.

Freelance gigs are slow this week, so I was grateful for all the porn sent my way - it helped passed the hours and I may need to windex my keyboard.

Rome Girl is comming home a day early because of some weird worker's revolution that is supposed to happen Sunday in Rome.

Sad, But True

About a week ago, one of my friends here was supposed to start a two week vacation back with his family in Ireland.

His train to the plane that morning left at 10 a.m. and he drank so hard he missed the train and had to spend another week here before he could get back home to Mom and Dad.

This is very common with the people I hang with in Montpellier. Once, a girl that I will call Wee Scottish Girl, missed two different train reservations and ended up staying an extra 10 days.

I find this custom amusing. I'm also in favor of it because it tends to mean I see my friends for longer periods of time.

Rome Girl does not agree.

"It makes a good story, but it's fucking sad that these people can't get their shit together for one morning to see their families," she said.

I know it's true. But, is it sad?
