Scented Balls
Before the huge White Nights party at the Vert Anglais last night (celebrating the birthday of the elder half of Woody Allen Film Reference and the one year anniversary of the bar itself) an odd discussion started.

One of the dudes mentioned that he sprayed cologne on his balls every morning when he got out of the shower. The other dudes there were stunned. Doing that had never occured to us.

"Doesn't that sting," The Iceman asked.

"It did the first couple of times," Scented Ball Man said. "But then it gets to be like leather and it doesn't hurt."

Even the girls who were around us seemed stunned - as they all said they'd never in their lives encountered balls that smelled like Yves St. Laurent. Several said that they'd be kind of grossed out.

"You are supposed to smell cologne, not take it into your mouth," one girl said.

Yet, Scented Ball Man assured us that this is fairly common. So, in the interests of science we asked all of the other dudes who came to the party about their ball flavor.

Most said that they did nothing but wash their balls. One dude said he put "Black Panther Scented Talcum Powder" on his balls every morning. Another guy said "Yeah, I put cologne on my balls but only if I have a date."

So, now, gentle readers, I'm putting the question to you:

1. If you are a dude have you ever scented your balls? If so, did it sting?

2. If you are a babe, have you ever encountered scented balls? If so, did you like it?

The Drunk Ex Pat Writer wants to know - on the QT and very, very hush hush.

Just a little talcum powder in the crotchal region to absorb sweat and prevent chafing. Doesn't sting.

A bit off-topic, but cologne started as an attempt at a drink. By this I mean the original Kölsche Wasser, or 4711 as it's known today. They were a distillery trying to make a new liquor. Everyone thought it tasted horrible, but someone got the bright idea that it covered up BO in an era when people didn't wash too much, and it became an overnight fad.

One can hardly call it a fad when it's been around for so long, and it's so commonplace today.

Or Question 3. Should you be flattered that a guy put cologne on his balls for you?

Would you be flattered?

I've always liked the way pussy smells/tastes naturally and assumed that women liked the way cocks and balls smell and taste.

A guy I'm in love with, when clean and sweating while he's sexually aroused? Those balls smell fantastic, otherwise insufficient data. (I'm a sensitive-nosed person annoyed by most perfumes.)

I certainly wouldn't want a strong scent of cologne, and I *definitely* wouldn't want to taste it! And if he got it on his penis, it could cause irritation to a woman if they have sex.

Scents should be applied to areas that get warm, such as pulse areas, so I suppose it makes some sense to apply it to the genital region, in general.

I'd prefer a guy just smell clean down there, though. And so many, many men don't.

Guys: Remember that you have hair around your anus, and be *sure* you are really clean after using the bathroom!

That's pretty much what a lot of girls said last night.

Yeah, I would not want to taste cologne, and if men wash up more, they don't need cologne to smell better. I have sprayed my groin with clothing on, that way it smells nice but doesn't get directly on the region.

Why couldn't dudes just dab it along the groin? That way it would smell nice without having to be tasted necessarily. Then again, I think if a dude sprayed his junk with cologne I would question his bathing habits.. as it seems a lot of men think cologne takes the place of an actual shower.

Consulted the marital unit. That's a negatory for him, and myself? I'm not a big fan of super sweat smell, but at the same time, it would really depend upon the brand, the application amount and I would think as well, what your intentions are below. If i'm giving oral, I'm not going to want the taste of cologne. You want to smell nice? before she goes down? Take two minutes to run to the bathroom, empty your bladder, use some soap and water and dry yourself off. There is NOTHING like the smell of my husband fresh from the bathroom and the scent of irish spring mixing with the rest of him that makes me flip the libido switch to "on"

To each thier own.

I hate the smell of men in cologne in general. I agree with others who say that the best smelling men take frequent showers. There's no substitute for it.

Cologne in general is gross to me. Cologne on the balls? Ewwwwwww! I don't want to smell it on some random stranger on a bus. I certainly don't want to smell it *there.*
