My Personal Hell
Waking up at 8 a.m. and discovering that I'm out of cigarettes.

Then, realizing that it's one of something like 19 federal holidays in May in France which means the cigarette store won't be open until noon.

I'm actually twitching at this point.

be grateful that it's france and not germany you're in; everything shuts down completely on these days. and what is "50 Days Easter," anyway? a day that the holy spirit doesn't want me to buy groceries or cat litter?

yep. with the exception of the purely french or purely german nationalist holidays, i think we're on the same federal holiday schedule.

Last Thursday was a holiday too. Which means a lot businesses just decided to close on Friday as well, which means that I have not been able to change the kitty litter since Thursday.
