The other day I was reading in the International New York Times (can't link to it because of paywall issues) about an interesting business in Sweden.
Turns out a lot of people think the cost of public transportation in the country is too high. So what this company does is offer fine insurance. You pay them roughly $15 bucks a month. Then, you ride the subway, bus or whatever without a ticket. If you get caught, the company pays the roughly $180 fine.
They said that they take in twice as much in membership fees as they pay out in fines - so everyone, except the transport service, essentially wins.
I wonder if anyone has started this business in any other country?
