Do you tend to forgive and forget or hold grudges? What is the longest you've ever stayed angry with someone? Is there anything the other person could say or do to win back your friendship and trust?

Can there be an answer in the middle? I tend to forgive and MOSTLY forget, but when I'm feeling especially self-torturous, I'm able to dredge up all the old hurt and pain and be passive-aggressive about it again, usually unbeknownst to the person it's targeted at.

I say live and let live. OTOH, my wife and I were married 32 years and she was angry the whole time. I guess I stayed for the angry sex.
